Sources close to Prince’s backing band, The Revolution, say the band plans to continue to play out the remainder of their dates despite the death of the legendary song-writer, musician, performer and their band leader, Prince.
“Axl is a known commodity with great stage presence and is one of pop music’s most punctual performers. We think Prince and the Revolution fans are going to love this new direction for the band,” Dez Dickerson told reporters for Rolling Stone. Adding, “If he can join AC/DC why can’t he sing lead on Alphabet Street?”
Sheila E will be the opener. Tickets are on sale now. Rest in peace, Prince.
