SACRAMENTO, CA – Gov. Jerry Brown held a press conference today to introduce a new state flag. “This reimagined flag is updated to represent the terrible truths of our new normal
– perpetual fire and perpetual drought. The cornerstones of California living. Brown said.
Brown feels the flag will raise awareness of the issues facing the state and may just spark tourism from extreme storm chasers and new age herbalists who think rain causes asthma and autism in children. He went on to add that ” spark” was a poor choice of words.
UPDATED (8/18/2015 at 10:15 AM): After a series of complaints that the bear was not stuck in traffic and there was no mudslide Gov. Brown sent the flag back for further editing. The new flag is show above. The previous flag can be seen below.
