A recurring subplot is Manigault Newman's enmity toward chief of staff John Kelly, who she accuses of "locking" her in the basement Situation Room in order to fire her on dubious grounds (she was accused of misusing the White House vehicle service).
Omarosa Manigault Newman's former White House colleagues are looking into legal options to stop her from releasing more tapes and to punish her for secretly recording her conversation with Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly, White House officials tell ABC News.
In the recording, Kelly can be heard to say that if her exit was "a friendly departure" she would be able to "go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation".
She also maintained that she has heard a three-minute audio recording on which Trump uses the n-word multiple times as host of "The Apprentice".
While discussing the secret recording and her opinion of Donald during the Meet the Press interview, Omarosa explained that she thinks the country is being deceived because the White House staff is lying about the president's mental state.
"I don't love you leaving at all", he added.
On Friday, as excerpts from Manigault Newman's book emerged, the White House decried the author and the media for offering her their attention.
Appearing on Meet the Press on Sunday, Omarosa claimed she had personally listened to the tape after her book went to press. The Post obtained copies of what Manigault Newman said was the job offer and the companion agreement.

Boris Johnson manages to get attacked by his former PR adviser

Liverpool 3 Torino 1: Firmino, Wijnaldum and Sturridge on target for Reds
Liverpool will be hoping to take their pre-season form into their Premier League campaign when West Ham come to town this weekend. But it's happened in a game which will, unfortunately, be remembered for a long time .
In the book, Manigault Newman, who was a contestant on Mr Trump's The Apprentice reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president, hurls a litany of allegations, painting the president as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure.
"People in the White House hated her" in part because "she was vicious, but not smart" and "nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work", Trump tweeted.
The former Trump supporter described the White House as a place 'where everybody lies'.
Spicer rebutted Manigault Newman's claim that he signed a non-disclosure agreement and called her assertion that he was paid hush money "false". Sure, it's going to look retaliatory, but at this point it couldn't look worse than it is at the moment for the White House.
She said: "It confirmed what I feared the most: that Donald Trump is a con and has been masquerading as someone who is actually open to engaging with diverse communities; but when he talks that way, the way he did on his tape, it confirmed that he is truly a racist". She saw it as a reflection of Trump not being in command of his own White House, but Todd quickly pointed out that Kelly's assertion isn't an unusual stance for a White House chief of staff to take.
The White House did not immediately respond to the new recording or Manigault Newman's statements. People in the White House hated her.
Omarosa, usually referred to by only her first name, left the White House in December, and Sunday's interview coincided with the release of her book, "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House", detailing her time there.
"I had a blind spot where it came to Donald Trump".
