Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought on Tuesday to convince European states to abandon a nuclear deal with Iran, saying that Tehran's threats to increase uranium enrichment capacity showed it still planned to destroy Israel.
Earlier on Monday, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei hinted at the move by warning European leaders against their "dream" of Tehran continuing to curb its nuclear programme while finding itself under new economic sanctions.
"I didn't ask President Macron to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran because I think it is going to collapse anyway soon under pressure from USA sanctions", he said at a joint press conference with Macron after a closed-door meeting between the two leaders.
Under the global agreement, Iran agreed to dismantle its nuclear program and be subject to monitoring in exchange for the lifting on worldwide nuclear related sanctions.
"Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's declaration is a sign of hysteria and mass panic in the Iranian leadership", Lieberman said.
Germany, France and Britain are three of the signatories of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between world powers and Iran, aimed at keeping Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Prior to his travels, Netanyahu said the focus of his European tour was "applying worldwide pressure against Iran".
The European powers share those concerns but say that the accord, also negotiated with China and Russian Federation, is the best way to prevent Tehran developing a nuclear weapons capability.

Benjamin Netanyahu is now on tour to France.
On Sunday, Khamenei repeated the long-standing view from Iran that Israel is "a malignant cancerous tumour in the west Asian region that has to be removed and eradicated".
"By preventing Iran's military entrenchment in Syria, we're also preventing something that could be very, very risky for Europe", he added.
In return, Iran received relief from sanctions, most of which were dropped in January 2016.
Supporters also fear the reimposition of United States sanctions could hit European firms that have done business with Iran since the accord was signed. We commit, and I commit again, that we will not let that happen, ' he said.
