President Donald Trump on Wednesday called Roseanne Barr on Wednesday to congratulate her on her new television show, New York Times reported. In 2018, Barr's character Roseanne Conner supports Trump, and the first episode examines how the 2016 election caused both personal and political divisions among American families.
Trump personally called Barr to offer his congratulations after her eponymous family sitcom pulled in a whopping 18.2 million viewers on Tuesday night.
Trump was enthralled by the "huge" ratings "Roseanne" received, an unnamed source told the newspaper. Just last week, she sparred with Jimmy Kimmel, telling him to "zip his f***ing lip" and let her defend the president.
"It was pretty exciting, I'll tell you that", she said". It's not hard to see why Trump is incredibly high on Roseanne Barr right now. From the online buzz it certainly felt like they were going to do well in the ratings, but racking up 18 million viewers is beyond just "good" in the ratings game these days.
We see this show airing to the huge and growing United States audience of President Trump's supporters into the Y 2020 elections.
