Carrey came under fire over the weekend when he released an unflattering painting of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Carrey tweeted alongside the painting, "This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only goal in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!" he captioned the image.

Today, a portrait of Sarah Huckabee Sanders attracted more attention that any of Carrey's previous works, though his anti-Facebook composite (I'll call it "Fakebook") was certainly a pointed statement.

Another added, "This is one more reason that I'm done with Hollywood".

Sanders' father, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), tore into Carrey for his post, calling him a "Christaphobe".

Comedians often land in hot water due to their jokes, but for Jim Carrey, it's his hobby that has earned him criticism.

Carrey, who said in the short film "I Needed Color" that he started painting as a way to heal after his split with actress Jenny McCarthy, has often used his art to skewer President Trump and his GOP allies.
