As MWC 2018 came and went, we didn't see any notable Android Wear devices get unveiled. Renaming and rebranding of the device may attract consumer and will help to eradicate confusion of its OS connectivity to the iPhones and Android devices. Now, the company is aiming towards changing the name of the OS with Wear OS as all the new reports confirmed the same news.
Amongst other changes, we will see a colorful "G" logo on the left and the search icon will no longer be highlighted in a blue square. Although Google still has to confirm this, the reference to the new name and a new logo that comes with a color combination similar to the one used in Google Assistant logo has been spotted in the latest 12.5 beta of Google Play Services.
So if you weren't paying attention, the first Android P Developer Preview already launched nearly a week ago, giving us a glimpse of what Google thinks the next Android version should look like.
