Though the battle royale genre isn't new, the overwhelmingly popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds certainly has caused quite the stir and now it seems like the all-out-survival genre is everywhere these days. The team behind the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series will be the latest name to enter the growing Battle Royale trend with the first-person, post-apocalyptic themed Fear the Wolves. Players will have an "original and intense game mode that will bring a fierce new twist on the genre" to look forward to.
Fear the Wolves will drop players into a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl, where as squads or lone wolves, you'll then fight to survive as the last one standing out of 100 players.
More details Fear the Wolves should be available soon. But as well as everyone else on the map, players must consider other threats such as deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. There's a tease of "the howls of mutated creatures [that] echo through the wasteland", so we could be looking at an instance of monsters coming out at night, and players fighting over (or making temporary alliances for) shelter.
