President Donald Trump was in attendance at the national championship game, and some claim that footage of him during the Anthem proves that he does not know all of the words to "The Star-Spangled Banner". Trump struggled to keep up with the rest of the crowd, and critics have charged that the President displayed a lack of knowledge of the anthem's lyrics.
Whereas some people on social media try to find excuses for Trump, others seem to be less forgiving towards the president. The president, who has consistently railed against NFL players for disrespecting the American flag by kneeling during the National Anthem as a sign of protest, was also seen pausing throughout several moments of The Star-Spangled Banner.
"Trump being down on the field, walking out with the troops, singing along with the National Anthem with such pride, is the very definition of Pro-America".
On Twitter, June Yoon said: "Our national embarrassment doesn't know our national anthem".
The president was reportedly greeted with a mixture of cheers and boos while taking the field.

"It looked like Donald Trump just kept repeating "applesauce" during the National Anthem", one viewer quipped.
Previous surveys have found that many American's don't know the full lyrics to the USA anthem, but for the U.S. president, a man who has attacked footballers for their actions during the anthem, his inability to sing the lyrics proved unpopular online.
