In a statement after the meeting, IMPACT - which includes the Irish Air Line Pilots' Association - said: "The union reiterated its position that its mandate for strike action can be implemented, after the required notice is given, in the absence of a timely agreement".
"We advise all customers in Germany to turn up as normal tomorrow, as we plan to operate all scheduled flights, and we will be doing our utmost to minimise any disruptions to the Christmas travel plans of our German customers".
IMPACT subsequently released a statement on Thursday to confirm Ryanair's recognition of IMPACT as the representative of the airline's pilots for collective bargaining purposes, with immediate effect.
Ryanair has yet to comment on the VC action.
However, the group cancelled the strikes after Ryanair's offer to talk about the trade unions' complaints, covering areas such as the carrier's strategy as well as pay and employment models in the fast-growing budget airline industry.

"Ryanair has also submitted a set of proposals on pay and conditions, procedures and dispute resolution for its Irish-based pilots, and looks forward to concluding an early agreement on these issues with its Irish Ryanair pilot company council".

IMPACT's Bernard Harbor explained: "We've very recently received correspondence from Ryanair in response to the meeting that we held on Tuesday evening".
It came after pilots threatened a one day strike which could still go ahead if a written agreement is not delivered.
"We also think it will assist thousands of workers elsewhere, who want independent workplace representation but whose anti-union employers had been encouraged and emboldened by Ryanair's previous antipathy towards IMPACT and other unions. We hope to be able to say something with more substance before too long".
The move eased tensions but unions warned that strikes remained an option if the Dublin-based carrier was not serious about the discussions.
If the call is heeded, it will mark the first industrial action by Ryanair pilots in the company's 32-year history.
