Pakistan's high commission in New Delhi issued visas to detained Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother and wife, the foreign office said here on Wednesday. MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, "Modalities of this meeting are still being worked out and who goes when, how do they go, how does the meeting takes place, these are the things both countries are engaged in". But India insisted that Jadhav's mother be included as well, with an Indian High Commission official present during the meeting. A diplomat from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad will be allowed to accompany the visitors.
He also highlighted that the mother and wife of Commander Jhadev are being provided with a meeting with him in the light of Islamic traditions and based on purely humanitarian grounds.
The visas have been issued to Jadhav's wife and mother for their Pakistan visit to meet him on humanitarian grounds. "We await Indian decision in this regard", he added.
