The report suggests that Warner Bros. are reportedly planning to either announce a replacement for Johns and Berg in January, or perhaps more concerning is the idea that they'll absorb control of DC Films into the studio's larger filmmaking operation.
Geoff Johns is expected to continue to serve as the chief creative officer at DC Entertainment, and his role on future DC films could evolve into more of an advisory position.
Naturally, hearing this from Hecker will only increase fans' desires for a Snyder cut, which could result in Warner Bros. putting out a new version of the film down the line.
"Justice League" is the fifth film in the DC Extended Universe and is a follow-up film to "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", which hit theaters previous year.
One of the criticisms levied against Justice League was that the film felt incomplete, or that too much was obviously cut from the finished product after Joss Whedon took over the director's chair from Zack Snyder.

He said the PDEA still needed the assistance of the police and the military, especially in operations involving big drug lords. Duterte said at the time the police force was "corrupt to the core".
Berg, who served as one of the producers on Justice League, has been an executive at the studio for almost a decade. And the film's performance is now having ramifications for studio personnel.
Another part of the revamp is rumored to be a future investment in the DC film studio from producer Roland Emmerich, who is responsible for such films as both Independence Day films, Godzilla (1998), and The Day After Tomorrow. The changes to DC are expected to be made by next month.
Meanwhile, there are now no plans for Zack Snyder to direct another DC movie, though it's possible he could helm one in the future as part of his production deal with Warner Bros. After three weeks in cinemas, Justice League has grossed $570.3m, compared to the Avengers' $1.5bn. So while Snyder maintains a production deal with the studio as he develops The Last Photograph, I wouldn't necessarily expect him to return to the DCEU anytime soon.
The first step in the so-called "shake-up" regards Jon Berg, who now heads up the production division of the DC Extended Universe. Warner Bros. reportedly believes that there is only one redeeming quality of Justice League: the introduction of the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) to the silver screen.
Snyder also directed "Man of Steel" and was executive producer on DC movies "Suicide Squad" and "Wonder Woman".
